Drum Legends > Clem Burke

Clem Burke was the drummer for Eighties New Wave band Blondie. His explosive, fill laden style of drumming was reminiscent of Keith Moon.
Clem was a founding member of Blondie who were at the height of their popularity in the late 1970's early 1980's and had hits like "Heart of Glass" and "Denis". The band shot to fame from the notorious New York CBGB's club scene which also produced bands; The Ramones, Talking Heads and The New York Dolls. Blondie is still performing today with Clem on the skins.
Clem also had stints playing drums for The Eurythmics and Punk Pop legend Iggy Pop. For an example of Clem at his best check out "Dreaming" by Blondie below.
