Drum Legends > Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr was the drummer for one of the most famous bands of them all- The Beatles.
Born Richard Starkey, Ringo acquired his nickname because of the number of rings he wore on his fingers.
After the Beatles split Ringo became well known as the narrator on the childrens' television show Thomas The Tank Engine.
Although there is some argument whether Ringo played all the drum parts on the Beatles albums no one would deny him his place in the Drum Legends Gallery.
